The company was formed in 1956 and after a certain number of structure and denomination evolutions, it was acquired by the Swiss Steel Group in 2004.

Today, the activities of Swiss Steel Mexico are focused on providing the highest quality Tool Steels, Stainless Steels and Engineering Steels from our own mills: Deutsche Edelstahlwerke, Ugitech, Steeltec, Swiss Steel.
 
The group operates in Mexico with 6 different strategic locations to strengthen local customer service and make it easier for their partners to quickly implement innovative projects at high level of quality:

• Tlalnepantla: Headquarters, Sales Office, Warehouse  and Service Center
• Monterrey: Sales Office & Warehouse  and Service Center
• Queretaro: Sales Office & Warehouse  and Service Center
• Puebla: Sales Office
• Guadalajara: Sales Office

Since 2010, the group also counts with a state-of-the-art heat-treatment facility called “Alta Tecnologia en Tratamientos Termicos” (ATTT) strategically located in Queretaro (Center Mexico)
